2004 Spring Conference a Great Success!

A record number of attendees and a sold out exhibit hall were just two of the hallmarks of this year's Spring Conference.  Once again, we returned to Kingston Plantation to enjoy great weather as well as first-class education and some of the latest and greatest products and services healthcare administration has to offer.

Our Keynote Speaker was Valerie Oberle of The Oberle Group.  An experienced executive leader and acclaimed speaker, Valerie discussed her proven leadership tools as well as lent us some of her secrets to being better administrator by inspiring great performance in our employees.

The exhibit hall was once again overflowing with activity and the conference breakout sessions addressed timely topics such as legislative updates, strategic planning and the latest healthcare practice technology.

At our Thursday evening dinner with exhibitors, we recognized Brenda Mohl of Thomasville Family Practice Associates as the 2004 NCMGM Medical Mutual Administrator of the Year.  Along with a plaque, Brenda was awarded a complimentary registration as well as travel expenses for a National or Sectional MGMA meeting.

We also celebrated the 20th anniversary of the Davis/Watson Scholarship program, an entity committed to the ongoing education and professionalism within medical group management.  As part of the celebration, NCMGM honored past scholarship winners as well as recognized past and present leaders of the association.
