2014 Fall Conference Post Event News
Thank you to all of out attendees and exhibitors for helping to make the 2014 NCMGMA Fall Conference a success! Approximately 250 people were in attendance at the NCMGMA Fall Conference where the theme was “What’s Next?” Educational keynote sessions included presentations by Rich Schlentz of EXTRAordinary! Inc. and Rosemarie Nelson of MGMA, legislative updates from MGMA and an ACA Panel Discussion with BCBS NC, Coventry, NC Medical Society and United Healthcare panelists.
2014 Award Winners
- 2014 Administrator of the Year was awarded to Timothy Bell, FACHE, FACMPE, MPH, PAC, and Practice Administrator for Children’s Health of Carolina. This award honors a medical practice administrator who has demonstrated exceptional leadership and management proficiency, and who has helped enhance the effectiveness of health care delivery in North Carolina. - 2014 Practice of the Year was awarded to Alliance Urology Specialists. The Practice of the Year Award recognizes a medical group practice that makes significant contributions to its community, patients and staff through volunteer work, fundraisers, staff wellness programs, community clean ups, and community screenings and education. - 2014 President's Award was awarded to Sandra Jarrett, practice manager for Salisbury Orthopaedic Associates, PA and chair of the NCMGMA Medicaid Committee. The President’s Award is given to a member of NCMGMA for outstanding service and contribution to the association, its members and medical practice management. Click here to read more.
