In this session, leaders will explore their biggest “pet peeves” or communication obstacles at work and learn 10 practical and immediately applicable tips that range from tactical to strategic communication. By the end of the session, participants will be able to understand and implement:

  • The big 3 I's of why people communicate (Inform, Influence, Inspire)
  • The do's and don’ts of email etiquette
  • Maximizing verbal and cross-cultural communication
  • Increasing the “stickiness” and audience retention of communication

Healthcare marketing expert Stephen Fogg shares his experiences helping physician practices acquire new patients and the metrics he uses to track those results.

Terry Hairston is a 28 year Law Enforcement Officer. As a full-time SWAT Operator for 17 years, Terry has been instructing law enforcement, emergency medical personnel, school administrators, and private business employees on how to respond to an active shooter, rapid deployment incidents, and other violent situations that occur in schools and in the workplace. In 2017, he was promoted to the rank of Captain and was assigned to a district as a District Commander. In 2007, Terry launched Defend and Protect, Inc., to educate citizens, law enforcement officers, and first responders on their responsibilities when faced with this type of violence.

He is a cancer survivor who garners motivation to help the healthcare industry from his time as a patient in treatment. Currently, Stephen lives in Charlotte, with his wife of 5 years and two beautiful girls.

NCMGMA Suit-Casing Policy
Any individual who is observed to be soliciting business in the aisles or other public spaces, in another company’s booth, or in violation of any portion of the Exhibition Policy, will be asked to leave immediately. Suit-casing may also take the form of commercial activity conducted from a hotel guest room or hospitality suite; a restaurant, club, or any other public place of assembly. For the purposes of this policy, suit-casing violations may occur at venues other than the exhibition floor and at other events. NCMGMA must be informed of any hospitality suites, and expressed consent must be received prior to the event.

Cancellation Policy
Registration cancellations must be received in writing. Cancellations received on or before 5:00 pm on October 23rd are entitled to a full refund less a $50 processing fee. No refunds will be awarded for cancellations after 10/23 or for no-shows.
