Tim Bell received his physician assistant degree from Alderson-Broaddus University in Philippi, WV. After graduation, he moved to NC and began working in family practice as a PA and administrator. He eventually earned a Master of Public Health degree with an emphasis in Health Policy and Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. After nine years of family practice, he became the Vice President of Professional Services at Scotland Memorial Hospital in Laurinburg, NC. Tim missed clinical work, so after four years, he left to become a PA with the Lumberton Children’s Clinic. After about a year, he transitioned to Executive Director, a position held for nearly twenty years.

She is a popular speaker and author, always looking around the corner to help her clients prepare for “what’s next.” Doral is known for assisting practices with next generation managed care contract negotiations, payment reform and revenue cycle. She is a Fellow in the American College of Medical Practice Executives. Doral serves as the Chair for the North Carolina MGMA Payer Contracting Committee 2019. From October 2000 until June 2012 she served as State Health Plan medical director and vice president and senior medical director for Healthcare Quality with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina. In July 2012, she returned to clinical practice with Duke Primary Care Hillsborough and served as the senior medical director for the Duke Population Health Management Office and Duke Connected Care, the Clinical Integrated Network for Duke University Health System. In this role, Peggy is responsible for statewide provider contract negotiations for the Medicaid network and network adequacy. She oversees the management of our team of Provider Account Executives, who are locally based across the state to support providers in our network with education, training, and service needs. Peggy brings a great deal of experience to the North Carolina team, having served in this role with our sister plan, Select Health of South Carolina, since 2001.

She earned her CMPE in 2012 and became a Fellow in 2018. In 2017, she became the ACMPE Liaison for North Carolina.
